Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation’s mission is to enrich the lives of area youth with free classes in the visual and performing arts in a safe, nurturing environment.
The Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation is a public non-profit organization founded in 2001 by Donna Berg. Her vision was to provide all of the children of Paso Robles, regardless of their economic status, a safe place to learn about and participate in the arts. As our older students begin to move on and enter the working world, college, or other bright future, we have the privilege of seeing the positive impact the arts have had on their lives. Our students are confident, well-rounded, poised young people, who are eager to grow into their full potential as members of this community. By encouraging the arts and creativity, we also provide a venue where children can remain children. The arts provide a creative outlet and a positive means of dealing with the pressures of the world. In this way, PRYAF has helped its students avoid gangs and stay out of trouble. The Paso Robles Youth Arts Foundation is available to all students, regardless of financial limitations. Although our classes are free of charge, we strive for the professionalism that would be expected of them from an art school. We hold our students to a high behavior and attendance standard.
PRYAF has over 300 students per quarter from the age 5-18 years participating in more than fifty classes each week. We enroll more than 1200 students annually. As we grow, our waiting list gets longer and our financial needs grow as well. We need the community to see how important PRYAF has become and how necessary it is to help it continue being the unique facility it is. We receive no government funding. We rely entirely on donations community givings and private or public funding. We thank you so much for your time and support.
